How to do things.

Plain steps, no fluff. This shelf is young; it grows as the app does. If a walkthrough you need isn't here, ask and we'll write it.

Log your first session

~2 min read

The whole app hangs off sessions. Here's the loop, start to finish.

  1. Open Climb and tap New session.
  2. Pick where you are. Type a gym name, or for outdoors start typing the crag; it autocompletes from the catalog. Bishop, Kalymnos, your local woods.
  3. Log as you go. Tap the grade, then Send or Attempt. Flash and repeat are one more tap. Nothing else is required.
  4. Note anything tweaky. The Problems field is for the finger that talked back. It stays quietly visible in history until you clear it.
  5. Tap End session. V-Sum, quality, density and time on wall are computed for you.

Next time at the same place: the app shows what you did last visit and what would beat it. That's the whole trick: small, honest comparisons.

Build & run a strength day

~3 min read

You write the template once. Each workout records what actually happened.

  1. Open Train and tap New template.
  2. Add exercises in the order you'll do them: lifts, hangs, core, whatever your plan calls for. Set your scheme per exercise (sets × reps, or time).
  3. On the day, open the template and tap Start workout.
  4. Fill sets by tapping. Last time's numbers sit right there; tap to accept, or edit the load and reps. The rest timer runs between sets, with an optional 3 second lead-in.
  5. Change reality freely. Cut a set, add a set, swap a load. The workout records what you actually did; the template stays as written.
  6. Tap Finish. A heavier top set or new max hang gets marked as a PR automatically.

Tip: loads follow your units setting. Switch pounds to kilos any time in Account → Units; history converts with you.

Plan a season

~3 min read

A season is a goal with weeks under it. The calendar holds the weeks; sessions fill them in.

  1. Open Plan and tap New goal. A trip, a grade, a comp: name it and give it a rough date.
  2. Lay out a typical week on the calendar: climb days, train days, rest. Drag things around until it looks like your life.
  3. Attach templates to train days so the day knows what it's for.
  4. As you log, sessions check the boxes themselves. Moved a session? Drag it; the plan bends instead of breaking.
  5. Watch the goal card on Plan: it shows its work, never a bare percentage.

Philosophy: the plan serves the climbing, not the reverse. Missed weeks aren't failure states; they're just weeks.

Start a route pyramid

~2 min read

A pyramid is base-building made visible: to send the grade, stack the grades below it.

  1. In Plan, tap New pyramid and pick the target grade, say 5.12a.
  2. The app lays out the shape underneath: more routes at each easier grade.
  3. That's it. Clean sends from your sessions fill the pyramid on their own. No manual ticking, no double entry.
  4. Check it before a trip: the empty slots tell you what to hunt.

Note: only clean sends count. Attempts and repeats show elsewhere; the pyramid stays honest.

Export your data

~1 min read

Your log is yours. Export works whether or not you're paying.

  1. Open Account and find Your data.
  2. Pick Sessions CSV or Workouts CSV for spreadsheets, or Everything (JSON) for the complete record.
  3. The file downloads on web, or shares from your phone. Open it anywhere.

Promise: if you cancel, this page keeps working. Reading and exporting your history is free, forever.
